23 Nov 2007The morning after Thanksgiving, in our home town, is punctuated by the sounds of fire trucks coming down the street.
The girls put their coats and boots on in championship form. I always wish they were that speedy on school mornings.
We rushed out to the curb to see what was the matter.
A special visitor was being welcomed to town.

Yeah, she was practically in tears as the sirens got closer.
She was clinging to mom quite a bit. It wasn’t until the man in red threw her some candy that she realized it was “all good”.
